A Few of (Her) Favorite Things

If you've been reading my blog for any length of time, you know that I love a good swap. The latest swap I participated in was the Mamarazzis Favorite Things Swap hosted by HolleeAnn over at Our Dandelion Wishes. My partner was Lisa over at Growing up Mo' and I'll say this . . . HolleeAnn sure knows how to pair up swap partners. Lisa & I have A LOT in common . . . reading, scrapbooking, the love of food, and of course, our love/hate relationship with "The Bachelor." I've really enjoyed getting to know her.

I received my package yesterday and let me just tell you . . . it was like Christmas morning when I was a child. I had so much fun opening up everything. I wish I had done a better job on her package. Normally, in these swaps, I take the time to wrap up everything and attach cute little explanations of the gifts, but it's been a rough week and I just didn't take the time to do it with her package. So, Lisa . . . I'm sorry!! I hope the gifts will make up for the lack of craftiness this go-round. Hopefully, I'll redeem myself in the next swap.

So, on to the important stuff . . . the pictures . . .

I Love Mail

I participated in a swap over at Are We There Yet Mom. Amy over at Laughing Through the Tears was my blog friend who was to send autumn goodies to me. I was away Friday and yesterday at Relay University (for Relay for Life). I will blog more about this AWESOME experience later. When I returned home late last night, my package was at the door from Amy over at Laughing Through the Tears. It was just a great variety of Autumn goodies. I got a gorgeous Psalm 23 cross that I have now put with my daddy's memory box & pictures. It just fits perfectly! I also got a pumpkin bag tealight holder, Yankee Candle tarts in pumpkin spice (yummy), apple pot holder, oven mitt & towel, notepads & pen, Bath & Body Works handsoap, decorative pumpkin & lots of yummy candy (including my favorite - Reese Cups). There was even candy for Bubby. THANKS AMY - that was VERY thoughtful of you! A great addition was the card & handwritten note from Amy. I have discovered that we have a lot in common. Thank you, my new blogging friend! Happy Autumn!

Autumn Goody Swap

I'm participating in the Autumn Goody Swap over at Are We There Yet Mom's blog. It's a pretty cool idea. So, scoot over to the blog & check it out. I am supposed to answer these questions, so here goes:

Questions:
What do you like best about Fall? That the weather is just about near perfect (not too hot, not too cold).

Do you have any family traditions for this time of year? We always take Bubby to an event @ our local zoo called Boo in the Zoo. This year, we will be starting a new tradition with him. We will be going to a local orchard to pick apples & pumpkins, take a hayride and go through the corn maize. I'm really looking forward to it.

What’s your favorite Halloween chocolate? Reese’s Peanut Butter Pumpkins - - - YUMMY!!

Is there any Halloween treat you do not like? Candy Corn

What has been the best Halloween costume you’ve ever dressed up in? My mom almost always made my & my brother's costumes when we were little. The one I remember most is when I was a witch & my brother was a bat. We were too cute!!!
