Wooooooo Hooooooo, It's FRIDAY!!!!

So glad to see the end of a week, I tell ya. Fridays are great for lots of reasons! One of them being it's the day that I participate in a whole lot of memes so, without further adieu, here goes . . .

FRIDAY 5

  1. Do you ever wonder if the way you see things visually aren't how other people see them? I've never really thought about it, but I suppose I would have to wonder if everyone sees the same. What's attractive to one may not be attractive to another, for example. So, it's definitely something to think about.

  2. What kind of sounds are the most annoying? Oh, this is an easy one - - - someone clearing their throat, smacking, burping, talking loudly, etc. Not only is most of what's on this list annoying, it's also DISGUSTING!!!

  3. When walking through a store, do you shop with your hands by touching/feeling the texture of things? Sometimes. I guess it depends on what I'm shopping for.

  4. If you could only smell three scents for the rest of your life, what would they be? Coffee, Bubby (children just have a smell about them), and all the smelly goods from Bath & Body Works (that I adore so much).

  5. What sorts of things do you savor when eating them? Anything chocolate and/or Italian.

FRIDAY FUN

  1. What was your favorite outside childhood game? Kick the Can, Ghost in the Graveyard, etc.? Hopscotch.

  2. How about board games? Do you have a favorite? Apples to Apples, Chickenfoot, Imaginiff, Life, and Cranium.

  3. Do you play any PC games? Online or offline? If so, what is your favorite? If not, is there one out there you want to try? Bookworm, Typing Shark, Sudoku, Wheel of Fortune, Checkers. My favorite is Bookworm.

  4. Gaming stations,… there are so many out there and I know jack about them! Do you have one or more and which ones? XBox, XBox 360, Playstation, etc.? I don't have any gaming stations. The last one I owned was an Atari, so that tells you how old I am & how gaming doesn't particularly interest me. :-)

FRIDAY FIVER - When the Sun Beats Down

  1. Favorite shoes? I'm not a big shoe person. I'd much rather walk around barefoot, but can't do that all the time. I guess my favorite shoes, if I have to pick a pair, would be my Nikes.

  2. What time does the sun set near you? Right now, usually between 5:45 and 6:00. I hate leaving work in the dark!

  3. Do you like spending time in the sun? Not particularly, because I burn easily. But, I would much rather have a sunny day than a dreary one.

  4. Do you burn or tan? Burn to a crisp. I am, after all, a redhead!

  5. Monopoly: yay! or no way! No way!!! I have never liked monopoly. I find it to be very boring!!!

FRIDAY FILL-INS

  1. Snowdrops are . Snowdrops are something we don't see a lot of around here.
  2. I'm going to . I'm going to try not to stress as much about things I have NO control over.

  3. is a song whose lyrics have meaning to me. "You're Gonna Miss This" by Trace Adkins is a song whose lyrics have meaning to me.

  4. Just one sip and . Just one sip and I'm in love with coffee.

  5. is where I'm happiest. Spending time with friends & family is where I'm happiest.
  6. I believe that is a necessary part of life. I believe that going through struggles is a necessary part of life.

  7. And for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to , tomorrow my plans include and Sunday, I want to ! And for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to just chilling, tomorrow my plans include going to the movies & having dinner with my mom & my best friend, Shell and Sunday, I want to go to Barnes & Noble!

FOUR FOR FRIDAY

  1. Prescription Drugs: Unless you've been living under a rock these past few weeks, you know that actor Heath Ledger tragically died earlier this month of an accidental prescription drug overdose. Despite the fact that doctors and pharmacists are drilled in the art of explaining to their patients and customers exactly how to take prescription drugs, far too many people - - - a lot of them actors - - - still get it wrong and accidentally over or wrongly medicate themselves. Have you ever become sick because of drugs prescribed by your doctor, or have you ever accidentally over medicated yourself? Yes. Thankfully not anything too bad, but it's made me very aware that you need to take things just as they're prescribed and you must also ask questions.

  2. Advice: What advice would you give to a young boy or girl who expresses a sincere interest in becoming President of the United States? The only advice I would give to a young boy or girl would be to follow their dreams, work hard, do an honest day's work, and never go against their beliefs.

  3. The Sky Is Falling: Taking a page from Hollywood science fiction, the U.S. government said yesterday it will try its darnedest to shoot down a broken down, bus size U.S. spy satellite that's on a collision course with Earth. The Pentagon hopes to smash the satellite as soon as next week - - - just before it enters Earth's atmosphere - - - with a single missile fired from a Navy boat in the Pacific Ocean. Do you have faith that the Navy will succeed in hitting the satellite, which will be about 150 to 175 miles above the Earth's surface when the shot is fired? Sure. Why wouldn't I?

  4. Spam: Which do you find more annoying . . . email spam or snail mail junk mail? I absolutely despise email spam. I spend 1/2 my day cleaning out that mess (between work and home accounts).

FRIDAY'S FEAST

Appetizer: Name one thing that is unique about you. That's a tough one, so I'll be sarcastic and say - - - my handprint!!! :-)

Soup: Fill in the blank: My favorite is but I like too. My favorite food is Italian but I like Mexican too.

Salad: What type of wood do you have for your home's furnishings? Good question . . . I'm not really good with the types of wood. But, most of my furnishings are the medium colored wood (not really dark & not very light). How stupid am I?!

Main Course: Who do you talk to most often on the phone? I'm not a big telephone talker, so I would say I talk most often to clients. Simply because - - - I have to!!!

Dessert: What level of responsibility do you have in your job? Pretty big responsibility, as I'm the only paralegal! I do all the legal work + answer 4 lines + handle the calendar + maintain all the files +++++ You get the picture!!!!

KNOW AND TELL FRIDAY

Questions:

  1. Did you eat candy this Valentine's Day? You bet I did!!! :-)

  2. What is something you do to relax? Listen to music, blog or read.

  3. (From Poole's book) What is the best approach for resolving conflict? I think the approach that's worked best for me is to face the problem head-on rather than letting it build & build. Letting it lie only makes it even harder to resolve.

  4. How would you define "freedom"? My definition of freedom would simply be: To be living in America - - - that's freedom!

  5. (Poole's book) On a scale of 1-10, how happy do you usually feel? Explain. Typically, I'm about a 7 or 8, though lately, I'm more like a 2 or 3. Things have just been really tough lately & I've been really down in the dumps.

Bonus Questions:

  1. If you could choose one "SIN" that you would never have to struggle with for the rest of your life what would it be? Gluttony (because over-eating is a sin, after all)!!

  2. What is one thing that breaks your heart? There are many things that break my heart, but I would have to say that cancer breaks my heart more than anything. It took my daddy from me. It has taken the lives of many people I loved & cared about. It's affecting the lives of even more people I love & care about now.
