1. Egg nog or hot chocolate? Hot chocolate - YUMMY!
2. Does Santa wrap presents or just sit them under the tree? Santa still wraps gifts, but there are a few elves that help him out from time to time. :-)
3. Colored lights on tree/house or white? White.
4. Do you hang mistletoe? Yes.
5. When do you put your decorations up? Thanksgiving Day, when I decorate (this is my 3rd year not decorating).
6. What is your favorite holiday dish (excluding dessert)? Mac & Cheese, for sure!!
7. Favorite Holiday memory as a child? I don't really have one favorite memory. All of my favorite memories involve spending time with family & friends.
8. When and how did you learn the truth about Santa? I don't remember when I learned the truth about Santa, but I certainly remember the year my brother did. He found the bike Santa was giving him and then decided to be a little more nosey (finding all the gifts). He got in a lot of trouble.
9. Do you open a gift on Christmas Eve? No.
10. How do you decorate your Christmas tree? It's a hodge podge of ornaments that I've collected over the years. My mom started a collection for me the year I was born & I got the collection when I moved out. She still gives me an ornament every year to add to it. I call my tree the "memory tree" because every ornament holds a special memory for me. ALL white lights, preferably, but mom usually convinces me to put a strand or two of colored in the mix. My tree is topped with a big bow with streamers!
11. Snow - Love it or Dread it? As long as ice isn't involved and I can still get out & about, I'm loving it.
12. Can you ice skate? I have, but I wouldn't define it as being able to.
13. Do you remember your favorite gift? Actually, I remember a few.
14. What’s the most exciting thing about the Holidays for you? Celebrating Jesus' birth. The time off from work. The music. The decorations. Spending extra time with family & friends.
15. What is your favorite Holiday dessert? Fudge.
16. What is your favorite holiday tradition? Just spending time with friends & family. Mom & I throw a Christmas party every year & I really love sharing the time with them.
17. What tops your tree? A big bow with streamers.
18. Which do you prefer – giving or receiving? I'd be lying if I said I didn't enjoy receiving, but I absolutely love giving. I love shopping for others & trying to find the perfect gift. I enjoy participating in various charity projects where I'm able to give back to those who are less fortunate!
19. What is your favorite Christmas song? I love Christmas music & it would be hard to pick just one favorite. So, here are a few that top my list: O Holy Night, Mary Did You Know, Christmas Shoes, Ave Maria and Grown Up Christmas List.
20. Candy canes? Sure, why not!
