Getting to Know Me

Welcome to the 2008 edition of getting to know your friends!  I've gotten these a gazillion times as e-mail, but I always enjoy doing them.  I saw this particular one over at Alison Wonderland & decided I'd play along.  

What you are supposed to do is copy this entire post and paste it in a post that you'll write. Change all the answers so they apply to you, and then let me know that you've played along. The theory is that you will learn a lot of little things about your friends that you might not have known!

1. What time did you get up this morning?  Woke up about 8:30 & got up around 9:00.

3. What was the last film you saw at the theater?  Alvin & the Chipmunks
4. What is your favorite TV show?  Criminal Minds, American Idol, Extreme Makeover Home Edition and lots of shows on the Food Network.
5. What do you eat for breakfast?  I rarely eat breakfast, which I know is terrible, but when I do, it's usually cereal or oatmeal.
6. What is your middle name?  Lynn
7. What food do you dislike?  Peaches, bananas, seafood (except for salmon, tuna & flounder), most veggies - - - yes, I'm VERY picky!!!
8. What is your favorite CD at the moment?  This is a tough one.  I just discovered this guy, Ben Folds, on Rhapsody & I'm loving his music.  The album I've been listening to is "Rockin' the Suburb." 
9. What kind of car do you drive?  2002 Jeep Liberty Sport (silver)
10. Favorite sandwich?  Turkey
11. What characteristic do you despise?  There are a few that I despise equally - arrogance, dishonesty, disrespectful of others
12. Favorite item of clothing?  Jammies & fuzzy socks.  I'd wear them all the time if I could get away with it.
13. Favorite piece of jewelry?  3-diamond necklace that my parents gave me.
14. If you could go anywhere in the world on vacation, where would you go?  In the U.S. - someplace out West; Overseas - Greece.
15. What color is your bathroom?  Sage green
16. Favorite brand of clothing?  I'm not into brands, but I do love my Emma James blue jeans & all the Worthington dress pants I have.
17. Where would you retire to?  North Carolina mountains
18. What was your most recent memorable birthday?  Most of my birthdays are fairly memorable.  I always get together with friends & family and we have dinner and then do something afterwards (movie, coffee & 'yapping,' a play, etc.)
19. Favorite sport to watch?  I'm not a sports fan, but if I'm forced to watch, my pick would be baseball.
20. Favorite saying?  Oh, I can't pick just one.  I have sooooooo many favorites!
21. When is your birthday?  April 30th
22. Are you a morning person or a night person?  Just look at the time of this post & that'll answer the question.  :-)  DEFINITELY a night owl.  Of course, right now, I'm up a lot later than usual.  I'm having a terrible time with insomnia right now.  :-(
23. What is your shoe size?  It depends, but the average is 7 1/2
24. Pets?  I have a "sister with fur," named Lizzy.  She is a black labrador retriever.
25. Any new and exciting news you'd like to share with us?  Nothing terribly exciting.  I'm pretty sure I have an ulcer in my stomach the size of my head.  Nice, huh???  That's what worrying all the time will do to you.  That & never sleeping!!!
26. What did you want to be when you were little?  A pediatrician
27. What are you today?  Paralegal
28. What is your favorite candy?  Reeses Peanut Butter Cups.
29. What is your favorite flower?  Gerbera Daisies, orchids & lilies
30. What is a day on the calendar you are looking forward to?  Relay for Life
31. What are you listening to right now?  Some comedy that I downloaded on Rhapsody.
32. What was the last thing you ate?  Mom treated me to Moe's tonight.  I had the Joey Bag of Donuts (a/k/a burrito) combo.  YUMMY!!!
33. Do you wish on stars?  Rarely, but I have.
34. If you were a crayon, what color would you be?  Yellow.
35. How is the weather right now?  Not too hot, not too cold & VERY breezy!
36. Favorite soft drink?  Coke
37. Favorite restaurant?  Stax's Original, Olive Garden & 5 Guys Burgers & Fries
38. Hair color?  Strawberry blonde (that's the official name), but I say red.
39. Siblings?  One younger brother, Jeff.
40. Favorite day of the year?  Christmas Day
41. What was your favorite toy as a child?  The one thing that comes to mind is my record player.
42. Summer or winter?  Honestly, neither - - - but, if I have to choose - definitely winter!
43. Hugs or kisses?  Both
44. Coffee or tea?  Both
45. Chocolate or vanilla?  Chocolate
46. Do you want your friends to email you back ?  Well, yeah!  But, I won't throw a hissy fit if people don't.
47. When was the last time you cried?  I got a little teary-eyed during Extreme Makeover Home Edition tonight, but the last time I really cried would've been Thursday!
48. What is under your bed?  Not much of anything, except some storage boxes.
49. Who is the friend you have had the longest?  Alison
50. What did you do last night?  Went to dinner with family & my friend, Shell.  Spent the night @ my mom's with my nephew (because he expects a 'slumber party' every single time).
51. Favorite smell?  Anything clean - dryer sheets, linen, breeze, coffee, homemade bread baking, etc.
52. What are you afraid of?  Deep water, anything creepy crawly and/or losing someone I love.
53. Salty or sweet?  Sweet
54. How many keys on your key ring?  About 10, give or take
55. Favorite day of the week?  Sunday
56. How many towns have you lived in?  Just 1 - the same one I've lived in my entire life.
57. Do you make friends easily?  For the most part, yes!
