See that pitiful little dog? He looks exactly how I feel. I have a wonderfully fun case of the flu. UGH! It's amazing how you can feel great one minute & be knocked down the next. That's exactly how it happened for me, this time. Yesterday, I felt okay and by last night, I felt terrible. This morning, even worse & by mid-day . . . HORRENDOUS! I went into the office today, but ended up leaving about 3:30 and headed to the doctor. I pretty much knew what she was going to diagnose with me, but I was so hoping it was just a bad sinus infection or something. Oh no . . . couldn't be that! So now . . . I'm laid up in the bed - cold washcloth, water, Advil, Kleenex, thermometer and bucket (hopefully I won't have to use this) by my side. My head feels like it weighs 50 pounds. One minute, I'm burning up & the next minute I'm freezing. The worst part is the headache & the nausea. I did rest a good bit this evening & hope that I'll get a good night's sleep tonight. I hate being cooped up, so I'll be crazy (crazier) by mid-day tomorrow. Being single, at this moment, completely stinks . . . I sure could handle having someone to talk to & who would run get me some ginger ale, soup & crackers at the store. I may end up having to ask my mom or brother if they'll pick up a few things & drop them off tomorrow. I certainly don't feel like going to the store & really don't need to be out spreading my flu germs around. So, I guess the rest of my week & weekend will be spent fighting this nastiness. I hope that it doesn't go the typical 7-10 days. I just don't believe I'll be able to handle that. I'll check in on all of my bloglines feeds, but may not blog a lot until I feel better. Until then . . . hope you're well in your world & that the rest of your week is wonderful!
